Grubhub users can now earn Bitcoin rewards for food delivery in partnership with Lolly to give consumers more options when ordering and earning. The move is one of the first examples of a company taking advantage of blockchain technology.
Grubhub users can now earn Bitcoin rewards for food delivery as part of a new partnership with Lolli. The company is introducing the feature to incentivize more people to use their app.
Grubhub, a food delivery service, has teamed up with Lolli, a Bitcoin rewards app, to offer hungry individuals the chance to earn cryptocurrency for their orders.
Grubhub users will be able to earn $1 in Bitcoin (BTC) incentives each time they use the platform’s extension or app, according to Lolli’s statement on Wednesday. After earning more than $15, or around 0.00026 BTC at the current price of $58,458, the earnings will be accessible for transfer or storage in a user’s Lolli wallet.
“We need to make Bitcoin part of daily life,” stated Alex Adelman, co-founder and CEO of Lolli. “For many people, food delivery is a ritual, and Bitcoin incentives help to make Bitcoin a part of that ritual.”

Lolli, which launched in 2018, has partnered with over 1,000 retailers to provide users with BTC incentives while purchasing online, including large names like Microsoft and Macy’s. The platform raised $10 million in a Series A fundraising round headed by Acrew Capital in July, with the goal of expanding its services to a larger audience. This comes after a $5 million investment round in March from investors including Reddit executive chair Alexis Ohanian’s venture capital company, Seven Seven Six.
Lolli isn’t the first platform or brand name attempting to pair crypto adoption with a meal. Customers in the United States may earn Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), and Dogecoin (DOGE) via Robinhood after spending $5 or more at Burger King in November. Last month, Landry’s Restaurant Group, which owns the Bubba Gump Shrimp Company, unveiled a similar promotion in which guests could receive $25 in BTC for every $250 spent.
Bitcoin awards sparked a buying frenzy among cardholders
Bitcoin’s price is $58,458 at the time of publishing, according to statistics from Cointelegraph Markets Pro, having declined more than 15% since hitting an all-time high of $69,000 on Nov. 10. Since falling below the crucial threshold in November, the cryptocurrency has been rejected many times at $60,000, according to Cointelegraph.
